Another vinyl wrap question

Hi everyone,
I don't know anyone with a wrapped car hence the question.
How robust is a vinyl wrap? I'm thinking of wrapping the bumpers on my Range Rover with some form of brushed or matt looking vinyl wrap to protect the paintwork underneath from the parking scrapes it's receiving as a result of other peoples inability to park. I'm thinking of the future sale of the car without the need to have the bumpers paint corrected or sprayed etc.

In fact I've just thought of another question can you double wrap vinyl?

buy quality - it'll last longer. But it's like paint - if you scrape it it'll tear/mark etc. It'll probably start to look tired after 2-3 years (depending on your circumstances).
