Campag Athena shifting issues

As the weather was lovely yesterday I had the Wilier out for it's first outing this year, what a difference to the winter hack

Anyway, I've only had the bike since Sept. and have done approx 300 miles on it, prior to putting it to bed for winter the LBS replaced (with a goodwill gesture) the made of cheese Miche cassette for a Campag cassette, this was due to the chain slipping under load.

Fast forward to yesterday and the gear change is very ropey when moving up the cassette, I've tried delicate changes, aggressive changes and everything in between, to add to insult to injury the chain also started slipping on the last hill of the day.

Assuming that the LBS indexed the bike correctly (and I've no reason to doubt them) is there anything which would be causing this?

Bike is a 2013 Wilier Gran Turismo with Campag Athena on FSA cranks.

It's either not indexed correctly or the cable is binding from lack of use. That or the hanger is bent?

Last week I hired a Pinarello FP Due which was fitted with Campagnolo Athena 11 speed groupset. Really disappointed with the gear changes they were terrible, changing from the small ring to the big ring I had to go into 2nd top on the rear before the chain would go onto the big ring, brakes were adequate but nothing to inspire confidence and I was glad to hand it back at the end of the week.

Sounds like the cables gone a bit slack. Try tightening with the rear mech adjuster (turning anti clockwise from rear)

P.s. I presume you mean up the cassette as into a lower gear

Happy with setting up an entire (shimano) group set from scratch so no real worries there.

My concern is that Athena may be 'problem child', having just come back from a (good) LBS with terrible shifting I'm worried it may be more than poor setup.

If it has just come back from a LBS I would send it back and explain the issue!

Also if they replaced the cassette, did they replace the chain?

I wouldn't worry its only gonna be a limited number of things

I just took my Campag Summer bike out round the block and it worked perfectly after 6 months no use, although the chain will now snap on its first outing!
