I'm normally found in the Noble and London sections of PH but my better half and I are visiting her family in Huddersfield this weekend. On Saturday morning she is going shoe shopping (or some such activity) with her sisters and I would prefer not to go to that.

Is there anything car related going on in the Yorkshire area that morning?

where about's in Huddersfield. You could always just go for a drive. There are some good roads around here and you can always have a coffee and a quick look round the cars at the oil can cafe in Hepworth. Some thing like.
J23 on M62 - A640 to denshaw
A7052 to Delph
Delph to Uppermill
Uppermill to Greenfield
Greenfield to A635 towards holmfirth
@ the ford pub turn sharp right towards Holme
Holme on the A6024 (Holme moss) to A628
A628 to B6015 to Glossop
Glossop to A57 towards Sheffield (snake pass)
About 1 mile passed ladybower res turn left onto strines. ( not as good as I should be due to crap road surface) follow to A616- left to holmfirth
Follow A616 all the way back to huddersfield or After the big roundabout follow signs for Hepworth to the oil can cafe.
A616 will take you back to town.

Thank you very much! It's a great shout. The oil can cafe also looks very interesting. I will be staying in Lepton if anyone else wants a drive or knows of any going on Saturday morning give me a shout!

Just wanted to say thanks for advise above, went for a little hoon and had a lot of fun. Although I don't know how you lot cope with the road surfaces on a day to day basis though, lots of money in chiropractics I bet haha! Oil can cafe was good fun too and I picked up a nice vintage Rothermans/Porsche jacket - happy man. Thanks again.
