Electric Exhaust Cutouts in UK

Hi all,

I'm looking to release some lovely V8 burble from my 2003 XKR Convertible. As standard it's a bit quiet for a big cat.

I've got the option of a full cat back exhaust at a very reasonable price but the fitter is up in Leeds (Tony Banks Exhausts) and I'm based in London.

I'm leaning towards the DMH low profile electric exhaust cutouts (but it means importing in from the USA), which would give me the best of both worlds. V8 noise when I want, no drone when cruising on the motorway.

I can't find anyone in the UK who stocks and fits exhaust cutouts.

Does anyone know of a fitter/supplier?

You'll most likely find importing a set from Summit Racing will probably work out cheaper than any stockist over here. If you use Summit, use the iParcel option on the checkout as it gives you the 'landed' price in the country with customs and VAT paid.

Regards getting them fitted, any garage should be able to fit the unit, and the wiring isn't too hard to do.

The only reason I'm sceptical from buying from the states is warranty issues as I've heard these cutouts can fail from time to time.

Does anyone know of any UK stockists?

Only failure I've known on the badlanz was cheap motor burning out.
They advise you not to open and close them under load, this person was and one jammed.
having said that, I'd done the same and never had a problem

They are very basic pieces of kit.

Y Pipe
butterfly valve
extension pipe
switch and or remote
motor
some wires

You just need to know the diameter of your exhaust
