Hi just bought this, has the phone button and assumed it had B'tooth.. No realised it doesnt!
Press teh mode / menu just shows config & mini. BUt pressing the phone button has the delaers tel number but says "unable to make call"

Dont want a parrot etc, how easy is it to fit Bluetooth, does it just need eabled or somthing fitted?

Cheers

I am not entirely sure, but I presume you do not have steering wheel controls? It sounds like you have the basic Radio Boost stereo, which does not include Bluetooth. There is a 3.5mm jack under the window rocker controls. the basic stereo is pretty crap.

I fitted the basic parrot mki9000 kit which is small and neat. It cost £100 and took a couple of hours to fit. Upgrading the Mini stereo is a PITA as it is so integral to the speedo and other elements of the car. Parrot seemed the easiest, quickest option for me. It also improves the sound quality when playing through the parrot amplifier......

Might be worth phoning MINI direct to see if they can retrofit Bluetooth - at least it will tell you if it is possible........

Other than adding a parrot kit, the only way would be to look for a unit with the bluetooth built in. Then you will have to sort out a Mic for it. i managed to pick up an LCI bluetooth DAB/USB headunit on the bay for £50. I need to source a few parts but its in and working in the Pre LCI cooper. and with the channel swap thumps like a goodun.

Thanks for the replies, dealer confirmed parrot way to go.. Feel a bit of a chump, seen phone symbol and just assumed at the least was pre wired. Same with MPG reading, traded in a cooper which had MPG readout , assumd this would have the same. It doesnt hae the right pack apparetly.. Im sure it could be enabled in OBC?
