Unfair Dismissal - Advice Please
Discussion
Hello Everyone,
Regular contributor but posting under a new account. I'm in a rubbish situation but would really appreciate some advice as what is out there seems unclear.
So on monday I was dismissed from my job, a job I have been at for a fraction over a year. No definitive reason given, no verbal or written warning and no notice. All I receive is a months pay.
I've done a great job for the company but it has had a takeover of management and is failing. I feel i've been made a scapegoat.
I'd really appreciate any advice at all on this if there is anything that can be done.
Many Thanks,
n.b if anyone wants a great digital marketer give me a shout!

What was your contractual notice?
Unfortunately with less than two years' service there is not much you can do about being dismissed unless it is for one of the special, automatically unfair cases such as pregnancy.
If the company is failing you are better off out of it. Stay positive and good luck in your search.

Has to something unfair about it, in this case discrimination on grounds of sex, religion ethnicity etc
Doesnt sound like that's happened, the company has had a change of plan and no longer needs you. It's s
t, but they're within their rights.
Best I can offer is to make sure you get your holiday entitlement paid up and a good reference sorted out. An ex boss of mine saw fit to give a neutral reference for me to my new employer which caused a bit of hassle trying to replace it, as it was my last job it looked a bit wonky. Luckily I had 3 others that were glowing.
Stick to hard facts on your CV, like % increases and traffic/results went from x to y - as long as it's accurate. If you have key clients, name them. It's tough out there right now and the more 'right' your CV is, the better your chances of getting interviews.

Thanks guys, i really appreciate the answers.
Contractual notice was month so I guess they have adhered to that. I suspected not a lot can be done would be the case but it is still a bit of a kick down below.
Holiday entitlement is sorted so all that should be ok. Onwards and upwards.
As before if anyone needs a good digital marketer shout me.
