Are Adrian Flux still the best people to go through?

Yeah another year and another week of policy hunting...

I can recommend Green Light. Unfortunately I've had fault and none fault claims through them and they were spot on.

Also give Brentacre a call - 01792 650 933 - they are based in Swansea but thankfully they don't all sound like the The Call Centre.

They are one of the few brokers I deal with who really know about modifications and have HP limits which are really useful if you are gradually upping the power.

Another vote for greenlight, a broker that actually does what they should. THey find you a good policy that meets your needs initially and then come renewal actually do a search and provide you with options without even being prompted. 1st class service.

Another vote for Greenlight.

Admiral have also proven quite mod-friendly for a mainstream insurer.

Yep been with them for many years now. Like for like mods replacement too which could be perfect if you're looking to spend some money improving the car.

I'm with Adrian Flux. Every year they seem to be the cheapest for my mk1 escort yb turbo. Not had to make a claim,so can't comment on that side of the business.

Here's a list of the companies I tried when calling round for cover.

In no particular order:

Sky Insurance - 0330 333 1250
Greenlight - 01277 376000
Flux - 0800 081 8989
HIC - 0844 888 4888
Keith Michaels - 0800 5422141
Chris Knott - 0800 917 2274 (Freephone) / 01424 200477 (Geographical - cheaper for mobiles)
Alan + Alan - 0844 5570088
Brentacre - 01792 650 933
Performance Direct - 0844 5733567
Tiger - 0800 803 0451

There are more out there that offer cover for modified vehicle insurance. I'm not google so I'm sure you can search for more yourself.

Greenlight is the insurer I have been with for the past few years and can recommend them very highly. Recently made a fault claim after writing off my car and was quite happy with my pay out. Sky insurance came very close last year to matching the quote greenlight gave me. They also cover like for like mods so if you damage your new uprated intercooler in a crash they will pay out for it (not if it's a write off as I found out...but they took into account the fact it was modified and paid out what a private seller would) Also they will only charge extra for power mods, not suspension, brakes etc

I recommend to speak to Neil if possible. He's a proper car nut and helped me when I made a claim (even though he didn't have to)

I gave Flux a shout this year .Wish I'd done it a few years ago . For me a lot less than my lowest compare the meerkats one. Sadly they couldn't match my house quote with the geriatric company, but I got car/breakdown and home for less than a company on the south coast that uses a Seagull to advertise low prices wanted to renew my car insurance. Mr Seagul even wanted £20 as an introduction fee and had jacked my premium up by £50 over last year.

Flux were really expensive for me. Greenlight are really good, and prices are very fair.
