Yes it would be good to know.
Mind you I did successfully do a few 4x4fundays with T4 when he was only rear wheel drive.
I did so well I was often mobbed by the 4x4 guys wanting to know what 4x4 I had squeezed underneath and were gob smacked when they saw it was on 2 wheel drive.
Wait until T4x4 is back on line I should be able to do some serious playing then.

Oh yes glad to hear the Niva survived and pulled a disco back as well.

the niva had more articulation than almost anything else even on road front tyres and russian supposed m+s rears it put quite a few to shame apparently if the bump stops and roll bars are removed it has more than anything!! i was very impressed anyway if youre using the lada suspension on an even lighter vehicle it should be unstoppable especially if you have decent tyres - the concensus is bf goodrich mud terrain are superb and much quieter than most things on road bit pricey though [i want some lol]

Went laning with a Niva a few weeks back, managed to pull the front bumper out at one side by about two inches from so much towing!! The chap had just spent towards £1000 replacing all his suspension from trying to follow a Land Rover a month back!
They seem to be a little delicate for my liking, I'll stick to my Range Rover and Series 1 Landrover thank you. Just to rub it in I pointed out my R.R. has cost over half of what his Lada has.

the bumpers are aluminium so arnt that suitable for towing my Niva survived the Discovery didnt and my fuel consumption was pretty good the ball joints are supposed to be weak but only been off roading in it once so i'll prolly find out how delicate it is later it did seem to me that tyres made a lot of difference to the performance of vehicles in the quarry we were in i had road tyres on the front so expected to get stuck in mud but didnt just slipped into a ditch once [4 foot deep] but had great fun anyway
