Caught it on iPlayer. Fascinating stuff
Enjoyed it a lot.
Anyone catch Sound City when it was shown a month or so ago? Equally brilliant and shocking to think about the sheer amount of incredible music that came out of those few studios.
Just watching this now following a recommendation from a work colleague, really enjoying the music documentaries on BBC4, especially Sound City.

Friday night, BBC 4 HD.
It's a documentary I've been meaning to catch for a while, so hoping it's been worth the wait.
You won't be disappointed. It's a documentary I've been meaning to catch for a while, so hoping it's been worth the wait.
What I found particularly powerful was the timing of when some of this happened, amidst the civil rights movement and in an environment where segregation was very real - and here were a bunch of black and white musicians making music which has not just stood the test of time, but arguably defines that era.
And it tells a similar story to Sound City, in that it brings out the passion for music of all the people involved.
