But it's a lot of dough considering how unloved and undervalued they are.

Man maths would let me trade my hateful A**i A3 which I bought as a stop gap two years ago for this and although I haven't driven a ZT yet, everything I read suggests that they were fitted with suspension, which the Audi isn't.

Awaits flaming, ridicule etc

ETA - key attractions are - V6 noise, OEM HID lights, estate space and some suspension.

Top car! Hugely underrated, I had one briefly, fantastic car, some people say poor mans jag or Beemer but I think they are a nice alternative to the usual suspects. I will say though, that's the facelift version, yes it looks more modern but it came at a time when mgr were tightening their belts, go for the original version with low miles, if it's a v6 make sure the cam belt has been done, also look out for clutch hydraulics and rattling inlet manifolds, cam belt is every 90k or 5 years. Top money for the V6, but it looks a well kept car with low mileage and full spec.

They are under rated and a satisfying car. Owners club explains all the niggles.

Beware monogram paint... it costs hundreds per litre and bad scratches put through insurance write them off.

I would say two things, drive it and if it floats your boat offer £2750 to start and go no further than £3000. If they don't accept let me know and I will have a punt for a little more. Great sound, good ride handling compromise and pre march 2006 (RFL) Have a look on the 75/zt forums for pre purchase info.

I have to say I have had more than my fair share and still would like another bite at the cherry!

Thanks all - I have been hanging around on the 75/ZT forums for a while.

Cost to change is the significant factor for me - no point in getting a zillion off only to be made up by a crap px offer or vice-versa.
