I am looking to replace/upgrade the front rotors on my 1984 350i S1.

I am having difficulty in locating correct discs here in Australia. Can anyone tell me the original source for the front brakes please.

Are yours vented or solid discs?

Also do the discs bolt onto the bell or are they cast as one unit?

Hi Mate...The solid front discs with original calipers are from a Ford Granada mk2 2.8i, If you have a Princess 4-pot calliper conversion then you need the vented Ford Granada Estate 2.8i brakes disc's..They have a deeper hub fitting..I think its 72mm deep...Ziga

Not sure but Granada and falcon might be similar maybe you could do an upgrade using falcon.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, they are solid discs so I am assumming that they are Granada Mk2.

I will investigate the Falcon option here but if that is not a goer how easy is it to get Granada parts over in England? Also, some part numbers would really be appreciated.

Fairly easy - ebay.co.uk item number 191053112671 look probable.

Also see 390727260892 - there is a drawing:
