What a funny collection of people!
I was driving down there the other day (as a passenger in friend's car), when I noticed no less than about ten cameras being trained on the car. I'm fairly used to people being friendly and taking pictures of this car which I spend a lot of time in, but this seemed rather more "focussed", so I look a little more closely.
There weren't your average tourists just grabbing a phone, they were all DSLRs etc!
We were was followed up a considerable length of Sloane Street, and then actually had at least 3 - 4 of these guys running behind us as we took a left turn toward South Kensington on the Old Brompton Road!
What I noted was that none of these guys appeared to be smiling. They were gesturing to rev the car and to slow down or whatever, but there was very little friendliness. It just seemed very odd.
I'll confess that it did make me feel a little awkward, but someone did say something interesting that I thought I'd share (off topic): "This must be the tiniest glimpse into what it must be like to be a celebrity and have people chasing you and photographing you". I didn't like even that much attention, so I can only imagine what it must be like if you're the latest Oscar winner.
So, to get back on topic. Who are these guys? Where do they post? I'd fancy a look at their pictures to see if I can spot the car in there now!

You need to look up Shmee150 profile on YouTube; I think he is the unofficial king of the car spotters and posts on here on a regular basis. He has managed to turn his hobby into a mini industry. Also unlike most of them has owned a decent range of cars. Currently he is driving around in a McLaren MP4, prior to that an Audi R8 V10 SpyderEdited by Ffffaster on Thursday 6th March 16:34
