Lorry drivers - why all the blue LEDs?

You know what it's like, you're cruising down the motorway without a care in the world - and then in the distance, particularly in the dark, you catch a flash of blue. Accident ? Police chase? Major incident of somesort? No, it's a Yorkie muncher with his max power f*cking LEDs all over his front grill.
And it doesn't stop there. There's a whole miriad of look at me I'm a t
t multi-coloured displays going on inside the cab as well!
Now I don't know about you, but when the missus puts the interior light on inside the car at night to find something in the bottom of her handbag, it's bloody annoying. So what must it be like with something resembling the Oxford Street christmas lights behind your head? It can't be safe can it? And whatsmore, displaying a red light to the front of the vehicle is an offence, whether the lights are mounted inside or outside the vehicle.
Time for a clampdown me thinks. Wouldn't want to be ttted up the jacksie by a bloody artic just because he couldn't see me. You have to watch them like hawks as it is with all the lane drifting they do.

For some it would have intimidated people off the road / allowed for an easy overtake - but I had observed them a few miles back just off the road parked up with another vehicle.
Part of the 'One Life' brigade who had probably been up to no good on local farmers land - our local bobby usually nicks all these vehicles.

I'd nip to the opticians, as you're obviously having trouble with your eyesight. Agreed, current laws should be enforced on the blue lights etc....but surely you can differentiate between emergency services and Mr Yorkies LED display?
In the daytime certainly, but when they are in the distance at night it's just a coloured light. I saw one of these bellends with an animated LED display at the back of his cab a couple of weeks ago.I'd nip to the opticians, as you're obviously having trouble with your eyesight.
