The car will hopefully end up on the road again, either as a 959 or a 961. That is not completely decided yet"

Was at a bit of a loose end yesterday so read through all 20 pages, truly amazing.

This popped up on an email from Pelican the other day - cracking project!

A 961 replica would be awesome and fairly unique - one of my all time favourite cars!

Has he only got what's on the trailer? Has it been crashed?

Yes that's where I saw it too. He's not gone the 961 direction, rebuilt back to original.

Yes it was crashed in Japan.

He bought it pretty much as you see it on the trailer, some damaged panels had already been removed I think.

He has since sourced all the parts, some new, some from other damaged vehicles and he has even re-manufactured some items that are either no longer available or horrendously expensive.

Really worth the read if you have the time.

great story, good to see another damaged one getting repaired. the owner contacted us a few times after seeing my thread on the one we repaired. he wanted a roof skin and some other panels.
cant remember if he had a roof in the end?, been a couple of years now i think.
