A friend of mine will be there in a Red r32 GTR so please say hello to him from me - his names Richard smile

Very special car, imported a few months ago and has just thorough rebuild and so many nice bits.. The owner sold his r35 and bought the 32.. Good ladsmile

I'm in garage 8 according to the list that was sent out.

I'm driving this:

But as it's the first time I've ever had the R32 on track (and the engine was built a few weeks back...) I won't be going bananas. smile

That's a shame Sam, although I'm sure we'll see you again at Brands later this year!

Looks great Richard. Speaking of bananas, we'll be driving one (yellow 911) hehe, but won't be going hell for leather either! Not sure what garage we'll be in, we haven't reserved one but will turn up early and try and nab one.

That looks absolutely superb. Is the red really as deep as that?

My first track day in the orange r300 Caterham, previously I did a couple in an mx5.

I took it pretty easy together the hang of it all.

The weather this morning was stunning, a brilliant day.

Agreed was a great day. The skyline was awesome. At one stage it backfired right infront of me and I ate the fumes of whatever fuel additive it was running then when it locked up I ate some tyre smoke too! The joys of an exige with the roof off.
Also great to meet ben and paul in the yellow gt3 and tks in advance for the footage ben is going to upload at some stage. Paul caught a huge tank slapper at paddock so look out for that footage.
Cheers all

Absolutely awesome track day biggrin

Annoyingly, all of the in-car footage has come out ridiculously over exposed - the camera has never done this before so no idea what caused this!

Here's the tank slapper anyway, shame you can't really see out of the windscreen! Preceding this clip we'd been behind this Subaru for many laps who literally refused to let anybody pass. Frustratingly, the GT3 was only a little bit quicker on the straights which wasn't enough to get past him each time.

Still not sure what was wrong with the car, going to get it booked in for a checkover. We noticed as we were packing up that the ride height of the front left corner was much lower than the others - might be a collapsed spring/damper or something, contributing to the floaty and unstable feeling the car was giving us throughout the day.

Sorry about that, I'm still getting used to it and that was one of only three times during the day I bumped into the rev limiter. Which seems to make it puff.
It's just running on V power.
Worked on my braking so less tyre smoke later on too...
Doesn't half shift though.

It was a great day.
Fantastic weather and a nice mix of cars.
I've already booked in for the 7th April. smile

It certainly was rapid. The pull out the corners left my lotus for dust. Great looking car too
