How quickly can you empty your car of personal contents?

So you've gone to see a car you like and done a deal there and then with the dealer to part-ex your car and take the new one. It just so happens you have all your docs with you and can sort out insurance on the phone and any residual payment on your debit card. How quickly could you empty your car of personal belongings?

For me it took me at least half an hour as there were so many bits and pieces I kept finding. Didn't help that the car hadn't been cleaned recently, and the kids had used it as a landfill site.

So, how quickly could you do yours (either put stuff into a bag or move into the other car)? Rule is you can't go back to the car once you're done.

I'm totally OCD about my car interior, I don't want things flying about, so it took me 2mins to empty out everything the other night

Take my gloves and sunglasses out of the sunglasses compartment, if it's a race they can keep whatever CDs I have in the changer. 30 seconds to a minute all in all.

My current car: About 20 seconds. There is a pair of wellies in the boot and that's it. I like to keep my cars clean and junk free, although when I had 4x4s they had a bit of kit in the back that might have taken a couple of minutes to remove.

Around 15 minutes. My Focus was sold unexpectedly quickly so I emptied it out in the dark. The new owner returned a few days later as I'd managed to leave my counterpart driving license in there, as well as a 'Cynganskie Disco Polo' CD in the CD player. Very embarrassing

The car less than 2 mins, life hammer in door pocket, torch in other door pocket, in the boot some screen wash, bottle of deicer and a coat. Ipod in glove box.
The 4x4 - about 10 mins - lots of stuff in the back of that.

Two minutes do do 99%, another ten to do the last 1%. It's all tidy in general but I've got all sorts of bits and pieces in almost every cubby hole, and there's always a chance of something small and expensive sliding under something. I'd therefore do it all, and then have a thorough check down behind the seats etc...

So it was the wife's car. I can't tell you how many sunglasses, bits of make up, reciepts, store cards, and odd bits of jewellry that came out. Not to mention all the kids stuff including move over car seats etc.

Two minutes:

Prescription sunglasses, a phone charge cable, an aux cable, a Manchester A-Z, a specs cleaning cloth from the cabin. From the boot, my compressed gas sticker for when I'm carrying my diving cylinders, two microfibre cloths, a bottle of quick detailer, a frost screen thing, and an ice scraper. At this time of year, a can of De-Icer.

If leave the spare bulbs and alcohol wipes in there.

Probably 1 carrier bag of stuff from glovebox / storage around driver then 2 trips back to the flat for the things in the boot.

Boot is a bit of a tip, as I tend to leave a sleeping bag and tent in there rather than take in and out to the flat each time I go out and about.

5 minutes I think.

6 CDs, 2 gloveboxes, cubby box, 2 door bins, and remove recovery straps from boot.
Then the stuff for the dog.
