Mine keeps falling off the windscreen due to the curve of the glass! Its a flat holder (brushed ali and TVR lasered on the back) and held on with clear gel sticky things!

Can any one recommend a different type and let me know where to get it?!

I'm afraid I can't - mine wouldn't stay on either So it's now in the Audi

I can only empathise and say the same thing happened when I had a very nice black one for the Griff. Even with fatter spacers one side the curvature was too much.

Either place it somewhere illegally positioned or back to the plastic ones - went back to advertising the secondhand car dealer on mine

And mine's on the Focus.

So I got one of these instead. Not as pretty, but a bit more secure in an open top.

What you need is a nice Wedge to go with the tax disc holder, nice flat windscreen

www.pistonheads.com/shop/asp/product.asp?product=139

I used to Photocopy my licence (not sure of the legality of that though )and keep it in there and the original in a glove box in case i needed to produce it.

I got an official tax disk holder from TVRPP. It is a very thin pice of aluminum with logo on the back of it. this is then pliable to the curve of the window, and attaches to the window via a thin magnetic pliable disc that sticks to the window around the tax disc. So, from the outside all you see is the tax disc with a black line around it, and from the inside all you see is a nice aluminum TVR logo!

Had the same trouble with mine but before I threw it away in discust I cleaned the windscreen with vinegar and used new sticky pads (thicker where needed to fit the curvature) and its still on there a couple of months later - sod's law is that when I next go out to my garage it'll have fallen off!!

Same with mine as well, it stayed on for a few months & then started to fall off, even with new sticky pads and a very clean window screen does not seem to stay stuck any more. Now looking for an alternative the TVRPP one sounds OK what ever it is.

I bought mine from the Laser company, Im assuming its the same type!! Mine is fitted with more sticky gel where needed due to the curves and its been there since I bought it and has never moved! I would call who you bought it from and ask for some more sticky gel thingys, clean the screen and it should be fine.

Mine is the ally type and I decided that I could modify it to fit the windscreen, after 15 mins with a protective cloth and a nylon mallet it fits the screen curve perfectly, screws still work when you want to change the disk. Really not that hard.

Have mine behind the rear view mirror in the middle - can't see it from the driver's seat at all, and it sticks perfectly as its quite flat at that part. Can't say it was my idea though as it was there when I bought it...

TVRPP is TVR Personal Posessions. The factory merchandise! Not sure if they still make them, but worth a look on the internet/phone call.
They are waffer thin, functional, fit and look the nuts!

Fitted a small length of aluminium to one of the screws. This is then pushed between the windscreen and the upholstered windscreen upright. I can remove it with a little force to change tax disks. Saves fiddling with screws over the dashboard.

have you thought of sticking it behind the rear view mirror.

1) it's flatter here
2) it gives a cleaner look to the car

imho.
