Running the LT77 box, does the gear linkage have to be disconnected before it's all hauled out? I can't see how it'd affect removal really. Well I can't see a lot to be fair!

It looks totally different to the T5 linkage though.

Opinions?

No idea.

Generally the professionals remove box, then bell housing then engine.

I've taken the whole lot out together.

With a T5 you can disconnect the linkage from underneath but it's fiddly, I don't!

I would think if you are unsure, you can remove the centre consul in 5 minutes and release from there.

No, you can just drop the box down once you have got the stick off, no spaghetti / interlocking chinese puzzle like the T5..

Alex.... The LT linkage doesn't need disconnecting to remove the boxsmile

Cheers guys, thanks for your help. Just needed clarification as everyone I'd spoken to always mentioned the gear linkage! I spose I'll just drop it then and see what happens!

Only issue with the LT77 linkage is making enough room so you can swing the box+engine out ~ linkage sticking up gets in the way...
If you have enough height it may be easier to remove bits under the car, personally I always do it from the top (sat down in comfort) but that does demand loosening (the oft dreaded) handbrake to remove tunnel which you may be able to get away with doing it in other ways.

IMHO the main difference in decisions between LT77 & T5 are based around the T5 being able to be bolted up to the bellhousing & the LT77 having to be bolted up from inside the bellhousing (as well as that fiddly T5 linkage of course).
