Hi - I'm after some help please.

I've just taken my Chim for its MOT and it failed on a broken rear coil over spring. It has snapped about an inch down from the top. I've only had my Gaz Gold Pros on since Oct and only done about 1,000 road miles on them - so very disappointing! anyone else experienced this with GGPs?

If I wanted to order some replacement springs for the rear to replace the broken Gaz spring does anyone know the length, diameter and load rating I need to order?

I would go back to where I bought them from but can't remember where I got them from ( it was over the phone and I lost my receipt!). If I go to Gaz there is likely to be a long wait and I only have 10 days left for my free MOT retest.

Any spring recommendations very welcome.

Not the answer you want but I'd be givng Gaz a call on Monday. They should be able to post a spring.

Good luck.

Thinking Gaz may be the only people who know what the springs are!

They should replace them for free, that is awful failing so quickly!

Are they colour coded or marked in some way?

Both my sets of springs from Gaz have been fine. I did have a front spring go on my SAAB and I think its a consequence of some of the potholes we drive over!

Give Gaz a call, I have found their customer service to be excellent.

Looks like it could be a 9inch, 390lbs spring as there are some hand written numbers at the broken end. 2.25inch ID.

Some photos for interest.
