peugeot 405 mi16

bought about 15 months ago, and previously stood for about 6 years
have either replaced or rebuilt.
all brakes, suspension and steering done, and used genuine peugeot parts, which mainly came from europe, and as far away as australia!
one of the sweetest sounding alloy block 1.9 16v engines i have heard. 82k miles on the clock

I would suggest getting Forever Black to spruce up the grey bits on the bumpers - totally did the trick on my Volvo.

i've already fitted brand new front bumper. i have a spare new rear bumper in my loft aswell
i also have about 2 full sets of new chrome inserts.
basically, i have sourced (with some help) everything needed to get the car to the condition it is now, plus a ridiculous amount of spare nla parts in my shed
best trim restorer available imho, is called c4 gtechniq
i've not cleaned the car since i bought it, but plan on getting it detailed sometime soon

I owned one in 1996. Such a fabulous blend of power, refinement (at the time), poise, handling and fluidity.
All Peugeot models went downhill from there, in my opinion.

my first experience of driving the mi16, wasn't when i bought it, but after i'd done the underneath resto and drove the 3 miles to test station.
i could not believe how comfy, smooth, quiet and tight the car drives.
tracking is slightly out, and can be felt. understandable though as the steering has been refreshed

I used to have one of the later ones with the iron block 2.0, it was a cracking car in every way, sublime handling, felt well built, smooth and powerfull engine, best sports saloon you could buy in that era.
I test drove an earlier 4x4, but didn't like the feel of the chassis, having driven Fwd most of my life, the proper aluminium 16 valves was nice though.
