i have 3 options, and not sure, i like the 4 gauges but seems clustered. i like the centre tacho but will be a bugger to see the spa speed and i like the 3 gauges as there is room for idiot lights or a shift light... what do you all think?

ive used an audi instrument shoud
if i go the 3 i have to squeeze the other gauge next to the couple in the centre and that will be tight

Not sure if the photos are taken from your normal eye line or not.
I would not have room to see 4 gauges through the steering wheel.
Revs and Speed def in the centre of the wheel (it gets a lot of road use). I would like oil pressure and water temperature in the eye line too, so how about a digital readout for those two between the big gauges. I know someone who could sort something.
Fuel, amps etc can go to the left of the wheel.
Like the Audi binnacle.

yes i have looked at the digital readouts too but like dials rather than readouts unless the racecraft multi gauges
yes Audi one works.. ive 4 ive bought on ebay before finding the right one...
hope you are well mate
Dom..
Like 1) or 2) Dom.
1) I only if you can get at least the bezel distance of gap between instruments and 2) if your warning light strip fits nicely in the gap you produce below (or perhaps I'd you seat the small dial at the bottom) or above your small centre dial.
Looking like they are not squeezed and sight line need to be perfect though. Will bug you if not.
Shroud looks good!

I also like 1) or 2).
If you go for 2, suggest you stick in a Bright 6 strip (horizontal) at the bottom between the gauges. http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/dash-war...
That way you also have the warning lights in clear vision

Number 1 looks great but in reality I think the two outer gauges will be redundant/ annoyingly obscured by the steering wheel, I have the same Rev counter, though with boost gauge in the window, one thing you may find to be a problem is the mismatch between the Spa gauge and Ultima speedo, I changed mine out for a matching Spa 200MPH speedo as I couldn't live with it.
You won't need a separate shift light, the spa rev counters shift light(s) are nice and bright and if that's not enough the needle can be made to change colour and flash as well.
The Spa speedo has a nice colour change feature, the needle can be programmed to change colour at 30 MPH and 70 MPH or whatever you want.
BTW what Audi did the cowl come from?

ooo didnt know the needle changed colour.. ive only just learned it does 0- what ever speed times and max speed recal.
audi a2.. cowl.. tried hyundai, merc porsche etc etc and this better finished and the same 330mm of the steering wheel no no loss of sight
so you can all search here is one of the ones i bought before angle grinder came out ebay 321260786118

if 1/ the centre 2 guages would go higher and warning strip underbeath,
if 2 then id use the 't; shaped warning below the centre dial
yes the photos are line of sight

This is all well and good but for those of us that are optically challenged in the long sighted department the digital displays are often too small.
Hopefully getting a larger display for fuel level, fuel pressure, water temperature and oil pressure. Might add oil temperature and fuel temp.
Hi Dom
I'm fine thanks. Spent the day adding filler to the rear clip repair then sanding it away again. Nearly done now. Next step is to try to paint the repair.............. metallic silver.

Just to follow up with what was said above, I ordered some parts from these JJC people and the total was £20 cheaper than the equivalent from Demon Tweeks. The price difference pays the transport costs
ive always used them... they are really helpful and always cheaper than most suppliers of motorsport parts.
