HELP wanted please people.

Hi, i (well me and the Mrs) are looking at buying a civic type r.We have seen a few, test drove them etc. The Mrs wants as new as we can and low mileage as possible. The help i am looking for is if anyone is local to a car we are looking at because we are very interested in it but would be travelling from Scotland to see/buy it so any help or advice beforehand would be much appreciated. Unfortunately i can't help however I'm sure everyone will agree that buying on condition and service history is better than buying on age/mileage

Don't worry, i know exactly what you mean, i would of bought a mint 57 plate, 59,000,fsh,with sat nav, interior and exterior excellent, but then she saw a 09 plate but it was not the GT spec. So back to square one.

Can't you get a local mechanic to perform an independent inspection? Don't the AA / RAC etc offer this service for a nominal fee?

Hopefully a local PistonHeader will help out, but if not that might be an idea.
