I am 21, but so far it has gone:

1.6 Astra at 17
1.8 Mondeo at 18
Mondeo ST24 just before I turned 19
E46 328i at 19

Still have the E46 and it will be back on the road at the end of the month, and I am currently driving a 2.2 Astra SRI I bought at 21 to tide me over

As for future plans, the E46 will probably be staying for a long time as I am going back to university this year. Next car will probably be a Monaro VXR but that is a good few years away yet.

If the E46 dies, then it will be replaced with another one or a Mondeo ST220 / Vectra 3.2 GSI. Yes, I have given this some thought!

My first car at just shy of 18 in 1989 was a 1979 VW Golf N, which started out with an 1100 engine but ended up with a 1300. Terrific car and I wish I'd kept it somewhere.

I then had a J Reg Ford Escort as a company car - it was a couple of years old when I got it as a young probationer sales rep, I then graduated to a new Peugeot 305 which was entertaining at the time.

So by the age of 25 I'd owned only one car, the Golf.
