Currently got a yamaha rxv 375 receiver powering mission floorstanding speakers....sounds good but obviously doesn't have the surround sound

I'm thinking of getting a speaker package......for some reason my eyes are drawn to the tannoy six 5.1 .....it's £160 at ricer sounds and reviews look promising

I'd be keen to hear your experiences of budget 5.1 systems

Also keen to know if these surround systems handle music (from tv) well?

Not sure about packages, but could you not build a system for £200.

Richer Sounds have some good sales, a good 5.1 AV amp can be had for £99 and would probably be better than a package amp.

Just buy a centre and cheapo rears.

40 quid diamond 9's at the rear. £100 for a centre.

Buy a sub in future if you feel you need one.

Sorry just checked your amp out and it looks like you have 5.1 but were just looking for speakers.

I have the same question as you, I have mission fronts, gale centre, phillips rears and sub. 18yr old missions, others are 15 years old.

The speakers I have are somewhat bulky and I was thinking of getting a package to have matching speakers and smaller sizes but I'm not convinced that a £160 package would be better. Maybe a £350 package would be.
