993 turbo pricey...

Well this a new level on the market - I totally appreciate the mega low miles, desirable x50 option etc but asking price is off the scale! Whilst values have definitely been on the rise does anyone else think this is dreaming territory ?

A bit like Challenge Stradale prices, over inflated IMHO but it only takes 1 collector to pay the asking price.
Not value for money in my books and surpassed by more modern machinery in terms of driving thrills but they don't make them anymore so you pays your money and makes your choice.

Probably safer having £100k in this than a 991 GT3 at the moment

Fairly sure that I almost bought this car from a Newcastle guy about 4 years ago at £60,000 - it sold to a London guy who then sold it on after three months at £67500
Now at £120K - good luck!!

There's not 120k of value in that or any other 993 Turbo.

Some people will be getting their fingers burnt methinks. Been through one classic car bust already no reason why there should not be another.

Couldn't have took the interior photo from a worse angle IMO. The car looks fat and frumpy, and I agree the rear offset doesn't look right (but probs is).

It's always difficult putting a price on a low mileage car as there's very little to compare it to. There are a couple of cars with much higher miles and the standard 408bhp for over £80k and there are only a couple of cars with low mileage but none of them RHD. Hexagon have one for £99,995 with an interesting interior colour and the standard engine and there's one for sale in Germany at a dealer with low miles and the 430bhp upgrade, but they're asking €175,700:

He'd probably be better not showing the garage where he keeps almost certainly keeps those cars. I am not going to prove it but I know exactly where that is. Guessed it from the houses.

I've been saying this about Challenge Stradales for ages now and the prices have gone ballistic in the last 18 months. £170k for a 360 is equally as mental

Only wealthy long term collectors who won't even drive the car can think about entering this type of market.
These cars are out of the reach of enthusiasts and only for the rich and famous now which is a great shame

My dad has one of only a handful of the 450bhp X50 993 Turbos in the UK with 32k on the clock so for his sake I'll say that £120k is cheap!

Bought my 1997 R plate 993 Turbo with 39k miles back in 2005 and paid not even half of that! Crazy what's happening to prices of these. They aren't even that good to drive either, feel very dated. The game has moved on significantly.

Whilst I agree that there are better 'drivers' cars out there and the game has moved on, I dont agree that it has much relevance to a cars value. There are many many expensive cars out there that are outclassed by their newer models (as you would hope) but yet cost significantly more.

The car, as with any other out there, will be worth what someone pays for it. And for such a rare car as this - with global recognition and interest - it will be worth a great deal.

It will sell - and the next owner will sell it for a lot more when they come to move it on in years hence...

With prices like that a few more of us might be tempted to sell, increasing supply and hence reducing prices.....
