well as per the thread title I'm curious to see if my old MGB GT is still on the road... BVX 24L. Much modded and is pretty much responsible for my enjoyment of bent eights, would be nice to know if it was still being enjoyed

it did have the rover v8 conversion, very nice it was too!!! Thanks for the above... Do I understand from the above that it's not been on the road since 1989 ie almost certainly scrap?

Yes the information indicates the last tax disc ran out in 1989. Not SORN'ed or re-taxed since

Meh... c'est la vie it would have been cool had it still been enjoyed. Seems as if the person it was sold to just didn't have the capability to redo it (truth be told it wasn't that bad - respray and retrim would have taken care of most/all of the issues)

Many cars are not correctly registered, which makes them appear to be missing.
However, you can use http://www.cartell.ie/ which searches by registration only and will give you the make & model on the DVLA database.
You can then use this information to search on the DVLA site.

I believe that vehicles that have had their reg number changed may also disappear from the database.
