Cyclist death at Mountbatten

Don't know if any of you race, and were at Mountbatten this weekend just passed. Unfortunately there was an accident at the end of the E/1/2 race and one of the people involved has now died from his injuries.

I used to race until a few years ago, but the bigger fields turning up at Mountbatten started to worry me. There is little room for error as this accident has shown. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the end of racing at Mountbatten.

Just saw this on my club facebook feed, RIP to the guys family, sounds like he was a good racer. Following the major injury last year, Mountbatten will either have racing stopped or need to smarten up to continue.

Wasn't there a serious accident at Mountbatten last year? Was that guy alright in the end?
