Silver mesh kit and respray

Nice, nice, nice!!!!
That Magnum silver is a great touch, goes well with that splitter and bright grille.
That is a very nice splitter. You must have exquisite taste and style to choose that....
Big tip here..... Ventureshield.... Seriously, get it.

Just had Venture Shield applied to the nose and sills of my DB7. When I stopped by to see how the installers were progressing, they were placing the sill pieces. I looked at the nose and saw it hadn't been done. The guy said: "How do you like it?" I was floored...the nose was already done! Tremendous product.
So pleased, I am now going to have the front wings, rear bumper, lower door panel and entire bonnet done (plus A-pillars, mirror backs, fog lamps, etc.)

I've had it done on the wheel arches, but wasn't sure about the nose, depends where the edge (I know its barely visible) would be.
As quoted above, hard to see. Here is a link to a full format picture taken of mine with a very stylish front splitter......http://www.puwer.co.uk/files/IMG_4749.JPG
If you download it or view it full size and zoom in, see if you can see the line above the headlamps and across the bonnet of the film.
Hard to spot. Even better is that I can see where its saved my bacon a couple of time already.
My last Aston got a great big stone chip on the bonnet less than a month after I got it. Never again!
I think the film is a great idea for the protection aspect, but it does eliminate the shine from the paint. In the above pic in full resolution, you can see a slight "orange peel" effect where the film is applied. the gloss from the paint is just abscent. This concurrs with cars I have seen with it installed in the flesh as it were.
I would not hesitate to install it where Aston Martin do originally, but I just dont like the finish it gives on horizontal surfaces.
Stone chips or orange peel, that is the quandry.
I think my choice would be to install it as the lipstick where the paint takes the full impact of the stones.

Your car looks wicked! Richard should upload some other colour combination he's got loads on his computer, it's really useful to see before you buy.http://www.puwer.co.uk/files/IMG_4749.JPG

Not any more it isn't. Current Venture Shield is unbelievably glossy and has ZERO orange peel. You cannot tell the difference in feel or glossiness between the VS surface and an adjacent painted surface (the VS actually feels better). Other materials do have orange peel (like on my other car), but not this new stuff. It is so good that I'm going to replace whatever is on my 5 YO Aston with this stuff.I would not hesitate to install it where Aston Martin do originally, but I just dont like the finish it gives on horizontal surfaces.

I'd show you a photo, but there's nothing to see. VS is not as good as some other products from a protection POV, but it is superior from an orange peel/glossy POV, so that's what I chose.

there was zilch Orange peel on the horizontal and he had the entire bonnet covered apart from the tiny portions next to the windscreen. Indeed he was cursing himself for a stonechip on the uncovered wing mirror !!!

I was strongly recommended this at the weekend and I imagine the loss of gloss is more notable on some colours, mines black.. Although despite my efforts it's often dirty.
Who do people recommend to install - I'm staffordshire based. And what sort of cost is it?
My first roadster had it on and a careful coat of wax sorted the "loss of gloss" not got round to doing it on the S yetWho do people recommend to install - I'm staffordshire based. And what sort of cost is it?
I used these guys

Cost me £900 for a V12V kit AND full bonnet
Make sure you do ALL the paint correction first and it is spotless when you hand it over
