CLK 2,7L CDi 2003 to 2005 what to be alert of?
Discussion
I have this mysterious craving for a Mercedes CLK 270cdi.
The 2 door pillarless coupe.
Nothing new, and my price max is £4500
This gives me a good selection of 2003 and a few "05" 2005 vehicles.
Almost all seem to have between 100k miles and 130k miles.
Should I consider higher mileage CLK's (190k miles) providing they have full MB history?
My first thought was the history of MB and their paint and rust issues of the early 2000 year vehicles, and how it was a real black mark, against the quality of MB.
Was it particular vehicle models involved, or did it include all MB vehicles of that era?
Almost all of them seem to me auto.
I am not fussed, auto or manual, I like them both.
What should I look out for?
What are the signs of abuse, is there any for a MB ?

I have an E270CDI, 2005, and touch wood the engines been fairly bullet proof, it only has 80k on it, my only bit of advice would be to let it warm up before driving a little, when you start them first thing they are like a tractor but once they warm up they are great. My E Class has been bad for springs and front end bushes and ball joints but it's a great car with an old but strong engine.
