Turbo model although that may not make a difference.

I assume the 997 is a slightly larger car, as all cars grow in size, but is it noticeable in the rear?
Are adaptive seats any thinner/fatter than std which might encroach/benefit the rear also?

Thinking of my daughter who is 7

Thanks in advance

I think they are the same size. Children are fine in the back depending how tall the front seat passengers are. My 5 year old can only just sit being me and I'm 6ft.

Wrong assumption, 996 and 997 are identical cars from this perspective.

Having said that, they do have slightly different seat designs, but I don't think enough to impact the rear space.

I'd say that the standard seats are the ones which allow most space in the rear while the hard backed ones the least (excluding the GT3 style buckets).

She'll be fine behind your g/f (my 11 year old is find behind my mrs). I doubt you'll find she has legs if she were to sit behind you though, my little 5 year old has to have his legs cut down when behind me.

I thought the 996 had better rear seats.. the 997 rear seats are at a slightly weird angle.. kids dont like them ..

Overall the 996 just might tip it... due to feels more roomy.. may just be those back seats.

Here's half of the answer to your original question: (7&5)

(Don't be put off by the boy's facial expressions, he's really very happy, he always looks like that! wink )

996 Targa, driver's seat set for a 6 footer (and an 'athletic' 15 stone!) The children are both quite big for their age too. Loads of room!
