997 v 996 rear space
Discussion
Turbo model although that may not make a difference.
I assume the 997 is a slightly larger car, as all cars grow in size, but is it noticeable in the rear?
Are adaptive seats any thinner/fatter than std which might encroach/benefit the rear also?
Thinking of my daughter who is 7
Thanks in advance

Wrong assumption, 996 and 997 are identical cars from this perspective.Having said that, they do have slightly different seat designs, but I don't think enough to impact the rear space.
I'd say that the standard seats are the ones which allow most space in the rear while the hard backed ones the least (excluding the GT3 style buckets).
Here's half of the answer to your original question: (7&5)

(Don't be put off by the boy's facial expressions, he's really very happy, he always looks like that!

996 Targa, driver's seat set for a 6 footer (and an 'athletic' 15 stone!) The children are both quite big for their age too. Loads of room!
