Hello,

I think I still have an opportunity to change the wheels ..since early in the game.
Is it ok...or too aggressive?

Standard OEM setup
wheel 8.5x19 9.5x19
tire 235/40 R19 275/35 R19
offset +46 +59 <-- I think

New Setup
wheel 9 x 20 10.5 x 20
tire 245/35 R20 275/35/20 <-- went up to 35 on rear to fill out well
offset +35 +45

Please just ignore the lipstick for those not too fond of that...

Like the fronts, the rears are probably just too wide, but love the lipstick.

Never sure why it's necessary for people to be rude. He asked whether to keep or change, you said to change. That's cool, it's an opinion. I think I'd change them too. But why bother putting a vomit thing? I get that it's the internet and everyone can say what they want etc etc. just think there's no need for it.

Car looks great, Love the red bits..... In my opinion those are not the prettiest wheels available for the car, not to say that they look horrid, but I would change them....

But given the racing theme look of the car I would replace them with these OZ lightweight wheels in this thread.. You are in the US? Plenty of straight roads so turning circle wont be an issue.. hehe

Personally I would change them although that is down to the colour of the wheel which doesn't work for me rather then the wheel design which I rather like.

They look ok to me, although a bit big. Surely you'll want to investigate how they affect the ride and handling before taking the plunge, surely that's the most important issue?

I like them, the back wheels especially give the car an F-Type look. I like it.

Actually they kind of suit the car.

On a side note, I love the vinyl yes

Wheels are nice, aggressive but good. If you like them then they are good. Nice design aswell, I bet they would look fantastic in bright silver.
Sets a really nice car off. Its a really good looking car.

I presume the pics of the back and such are not just about the wheels, if so then the vinyl looks nice apart from the back.
No likey....

You're absolutely right and on reflection I can see exactly what you mean - certainly not my intent to cause offence and I meant it more as quick banter as I rushed out the door this morning. Mea culpa. A more balanced reply would have been to say that I like what the OP has done to the car but that the wheels aren't (my opinion) right - they look very 'Mercedes'... I suspect you sense something similar, hence the post. You may want to look at the N430 wheels to get another viewpoint. They may suggest looking for something a little more open if you get my point. The other N400 wheel in a shadow finish could look excellent too. Then of course, you are in the game of do I or don't I paint the callipers red? You know you want to...

Here is a non-offensive smiley and I hope karma is restored? hehe

Actually the more I look, the more I realise it's the finish of the wheels that makes them seem wrong... don't quite blend with the paint if you see what I mean. If you're looking for a track car then go the whole hog, or look for something in the right finish if not.

Going up to 35 profile will alter the speedo accuracy and may cause arch contact. I think the stance looks fine but the rear tyres just look too tall.

Changing the ratio of front to rear wheel rotational speeds could also cause the car to "see" a wheel speed error and illuminate the traction control lamp.

IMO, the wheels would look better in bright silver.

I like the colour of the wheels, but in my view, the rears make the car look a little over wheeled, i.e. too big for the car.

I like the wheels especially the dish on the rears but think they should either be silver or the same colour as the car. As a slightly different shade they look a bit wrong.

The red stuff looks ridiculous though.

lol.....yes the red is a bit with a grain of salt and borderline rediculous...but with reason.

Please note there was an intent for the car to stand out differently...hence the lipstick and other things.
When leading the pack in cruises I had to make sure the car looked a bit different than the standard fare AMs in the group.
Just in case the other grey AMs left the pack earlier and started take a bunch of cars with them in the middle of the cruise.

It did happen once during a meet a few years back where a group of cars followed the wrong leader in a 911 (instead of pulling over on the shoulder to let the other cars pass and continue with the group). The 911 took a bunch of cars towards their home. I had made a rule that if that happens again the perpetrator would need to feed all people that followed them home. wink
