It's not rolling. It was a perk for those who were members at the time of paid ads being introduced quite a few years ago now. I think (IIRC) it might have been updated once in times passed, but it's not rolling as you suggest.

I appreciate that 070 numbers prevent canvass calls, but they are so expensive it surely has a detrimental effect on prospective purchasers in the know, and those that don't appreciate the high cost propobably assume they are normal mobile numbers.

66 pence per minute from a mobile is too high a cost, especially when the cost isn't listed next to the number.

I can't remember, I think it was Ozzmosis but can't see it on the members list, and it could have been a host of different email addresses (back when I was 17, and couldn't keep an address for more than a week for some reason!)

Not really Pistonheads fault though is it?

PH use a product that has a detrimental cost to users. Whether they receive a rebate from the Telco or not (I would assume not as outpayments are not permitted for 070 numbers although some Telco's still offer them) they are facilitating in an unethical operation.

Because of the low usage on 070 numbers they have slipped the ICSTIS net, something that really should be resolved as there is no legitimate use for them anymore. In tis instance they are offered purely because they have such a high cost to call. That is the selling point to the advertiser, but not relayed I the advert to the caller.

Advertisers choose to have that number, it's not something we make money out of.

Good. Theyre still terrible though Nathan, and PH would be better without them in my opinion.
