The coral on the side of Scallops. The thought of eating it would turn me right off. Tried it a couple of weeks ago and its very nice.

Olives when I was in my teens, can't get enough of them now.

Maybe I should give smash a try smile

Cucumber.
Used to hate the smell and taste of it but now I'll happily eat it in salad or sandwiches.

Coffee.
The smell of coffee used to make me feel nauseous but now it doesn't bother me and in some cases I quite like it. I've still never tried a cup of it though!

I hated all brassicas as a child and only cooked green veg I ate were beans and peas. It was only when I grew up and left home that I realised this was not so much to do with the taste as that I came from a family with a tradition of boiling all veg for ages and ages until it was almost mush, pretty stinky mush much of the time. Peas and beans were more resilient and so didn't go mushy and stinky.

Now I prefer brassicas and find beans and peas a bit boring.

Coffee - up until about 6 months ago I hated the stuff and used to pride myself on not drinking any hot drinks. Now, after a colleague forced me to have a 'decent' cup, I can't go a day without taking down a coffee or two...

You should try my Prawn & Mussel casserole served with liver, sprouts and an accompaniment d'oeuf.

Liver is the big one for me. When I was younger, I couldn't stand the grainy texture, but now as an adult I realise it doesn't have to be like that. Good quality liver cooked right is a joy to behold, I probably have a portion of liver and bacon once a week these days. Can't get enough of it!

Stinky cheese! 5 years ago I couldn't bear it - now though, love it! Tastes change with age I 'spose?

Never used to like nuts at all, even hated the smell if someone had a bag of peanuts in the pub. Then a couple of years ago I tried a honey roasted cashew, now I'm addicted and eat a fair few other nuts too.

The "liver thing" could be because your first try was pig's liver, it's very "grainy" & strong tasting. I only ever use it in pate.

Lamb & calf liver though are delicious.

It's the same with kidney.....lamb's kidney is the only one I like as an individual item. A little ox kidney is Ok in a steak & kidney pie but I'm sure lots have been put off kidney because of the strong taste of ox.....if that's you.....give lamb's kidney a try....you might like it.
