India to Purchase 43 Boeing 737s

This is India's budget carrier Spicejet. $4.4 Billion. I am not so sure how I would fell about a budget indian airline, if I were flying. Just me perhaps.

Let's see, they have a space program, they now order five thousand million Dollars worth of planes; nah, wait awhile longer, then cut back a bit.

Yep, the plane was a relatively new Bombardier.

same with Indigo, except that was a newish Jet.

it was just like flying Ryanair, Easyjet, they fly internationally so I guess they will have to adhere to all the usual standards.

Travelled with India's Jet Airways - puts all US ( & UK too) airlines to shame. Budget is merely low fares I expect, not poor service. Labour is cheap out there, and polite.

There are loads of low frills carriers in India, makes getting around really easy.

Spice, Jet, IndiGo, GoAir, there was also Kingfisher. They all use modern Turbo Props and Jet stuff all the regional do.

Most do allocated seating and 1 small bag in the hold for the ticket price. They are full of middle aged men in IT going home to see their families.

They are your Southwest I suppose, but new planes, better service and polite staff.

flown SpiceJet and JetKonnect (the other main domestic lo-co carrier) several times. Both are fine IMO.

Some airports in India leave a lot to be desired however.
