My wife wants to upgrade her red golf anniversary to a black golf edition 30 or golf gti.
I have always stayed away from black cars over the years as the look like hard work to clean without scratching them. I could do with a bit of advice on what products to use to wash it and dry it with to make sure I keep the scratching down to a minimum. Thanks

Two buckets both with grit guards, do you have a power washer too? Invest in some decent drying towels, lambswool mitts and some paint protection plus a wax for shine and away you go.

The wash and drying stage are how scratches happen, stone chips etc cannot really be helped unless you invest in a protective film.

How else can we help.....product suggestions??

1. Get some protection on it straight away Wax, Sealant, or longer term Nano sealant.
2. Use YouTube - 2 bucket wash, to research a suitable technique for you.
3. RaceGlaze are a well known Detailing product supplier, have a look here for a kit (others are avaiable) http://www.raceglaze.co.uk/mybeautifulcar/my-beaut...

I have tried everything over the last 6 years on my black Tuscan, and I can honestly say the stuff I just brought from halfords is the best stuff ever, it's called black box made by Turtle Wax, fantastic stuff, just read the reports....

You should consider a good third generation clear film, SunTek or XPel Ult. XPels been around for a good few years now & is the go-too but SunTek is better primarily because it's newer. PM me for info if you want some more info, I've been installing films for years before I moved over to Europe. Jerry
