I have a 2012 Vantage, which came with a very durable iphone 4/ipod adapter lead that connects to the USB under the armrest. I have upgraded to the iphone 5s which has a smaller adapter lead required to fit it, and have spoken to Aston Martin who are not aware of such a lead available yet, so was wondering if anybody can point me in the right direction. I am sure there are some cheapies available on ebay, but was after something as durable as the one supplied with the car.

BTW - Probably get it a lot cheaper elsewhere i.e. fleabay but be aware of the quality.

I originally used the Apple adapter ( here). (Cheaper ones are available). But have since switched over to the Airplay thingy
as discussed here

Works a treat

Got a genuine apple one off Amazon for £22- (every little helps) but as Sukh says lots of cheapo ones out there for about £2 which ONLY charge and will not stream music

Don't buy the cheap ones off ebay they wont charge properly only buy the genuine lead.
My 5 works fine with the correct lead.

Thanks for your swift replies everyone, not sure whether to play safe and just go with the adapter or be brave and go for the cosmic looking ViseeO Tune2Air to work with my Airplay thingy, which i keep seeing on my phone but have no idea what it does !

Oddly I've got the official adaptor in my car and it doesn't work. It did in Rosie but then stopped and doesn't work in the new car either..... I'm wondering if my 5s is shafted or if an ios update has screwed it frown

I think in your case, the problem lies between adapter and phone wavey

The latest iPhone 5 update (yesterday) apparently fixes a whole load of car phone issues
