I prefer a leather strap.
I was considering one to go with my Tag Carrera Twin time
It's actually taking me some time to get used to the leather strap as I've never had one before. But I worry about getting it wet and damaging the leather. (Another reason for replacing it).I was considering one to go with my Tag Carrera Twin time
Either way, if I have both, I have an option. I just need to get some decent watch tools to replace it myself.
Any recommendations where to start for this?

Sorted.
Very, very nice watch; shows that when TAG put their minds to it, they come up with some stunners.
I have an original one from around 1964 (Carrera 45) going begging if anyone wants one

I thought I'd bump this piece again. I've had my watch now for a few months now and not all has been plain sailing.
I unfortunately dropped the watch as I was putting it on my wrist and knocked part of the movement out of place. My home has marble floors everywhere so you can imagine it was quite a knock which resulted in the movement running very fast (gaining four minutes per hour). That had to be repaired which was luckily done with no charge by my jeweller.
However the drop left a dent in the bezel so that has to now be replaced. You can barely see it but I know it's there and it annoys me constantly. Cost for that is £120 and I'm still waiting for the new piece to arrive
You can just about see the knock on the bezel where the light bends slightly as a result of the dent, just below 10 o'clock.

Aside from that, it's a beautiful watch. I get complimented on it often and I've got used to the leather strap. I still use my old Tag Heuer 2000 series for the beach but overall I'm very pleased with the JH81 Carrera. Awesome watch, but I'm still very conscious of how fragile the automatic movement is!
