What exhaust have you fitted, is it a straight through system? Certainly sounds like there is minimal silencing involved!
Does sound good though! evil

Did I notice your reverse lights flash as you changed gear?

Hi Wayne
I changed mine last week - reduced the box length from 27" to 10" with 2 into 1 'Y' piece going into the box instead of 2 pipes (extra 'rasp' as well as more pos and bangs) - will upload a vid soon although not sure if your system is the same
(both '86 420's?)

Paul.

In that case, if either of you have a pair of manifolds going spare, then give me a shout!

Thanks

Stu

Sounds the same Paul.. I think just a standard SEAC exhaust. Quite a long centre box, I guess about 27" as you say. Nothing like as loud as Matt's on his YouTube vid!

Be interested to hear yours. wink

Probably just the switch adjustment being a bit close so as you haul back on the stick into 2nd it clips the plunger... if they come on at any other time I'd supect the switch internals have disintegrated!

Thanks! I've not had much of chance to hear it as I've only dpne about 50 miles since I put it back on the road. I'm (not very patiently) waiting for the body shop to finish but it's going to be another few weeks frown

Anyhow, back on topic, the system is stainless front to back and the centre section I recently had fabricated at long life. Here are some pics of the system.

So far I'm really pleased as driving about its not too loud but when you open the taps up....oh yeah!!

Re the reverse light-i used to have to hold the gearstick in reverse for it to work so I adjusted it...too much! I've disconnected it for the moment but will sort when she returns smile

Hallsie I do have manifolds left over...

Hi Wayne i have a full ACT SS exhaust on my SEAC and i think it sounds great, not realy track friendly hehe
At one of the wedge fest it was noise tested at 100db at tick over and around 124,125 at 4500rpm and it has a real deep rich tone to it, i can set off car alarms with it nice...
I would go for what they would call a standard SEAC exhaust hehe your car will sound great with that 5l under the bonnet.
