Hi - I live on the Cheshire Staffordshire boarder and was wondering who to go to for my 12k service?
The car has done 27k and has had two 12k services anyway but wanted to make sure all of the checks and fluid changes are done.
Any advice appreciated.

I am based in Uttoxeter and apart from one service at Peter Smiths Sports Cars, all my subsequent services have been at Track V Road in Clitheroe. They know their stuff and are highly thought of. We are lucky, in that, we have a lot of well, respected specialists within an hour or so. I'm sure that more people will be along soon with their suggestions.
Hope that helps.

Steve - you should pop up to Middlewich and have a word with Ian at Torque RVT. There are quite a number of TVR owners (including us Speed 6'ers) around who can vouch for the quality of his workmanship and his excellent customer service.

Going there for my tam's 12k on Tuesday. 3h15m early morning drive... staying overnight... not sure if I'm going to be bored off my moobs in Clitheroe so considering a train trip to Blackpool. Tips?

Why?
No one up in Scotland who is going to take anything like such a detailed approach to checking it over.

+lots for Track V Road

Just had mine serviced and MOT'd. They don't currently do the MOT themselves but can sort it out easily enough for you.

As regards what to do if you're stuck in the Northwest for a day, there's loads of places nearby that are in easy(ish) reach by train. Personally, Blackpool wouldn't be my 1st choice.

Can you make a couple of recommendations?
I never stayed anywhere in the area. Was thinking Black pool because there is a waterfront, roller coaster, pier, maybe go by the old factory, and so that I can watch the drunkies fall over themselves from my hotel room window while cradling a beer and wifi. But it's a bit of a distance from Clitheroe.

Sorry, just seen this. Hope you've sorted something out. Blackpool at this time of year can be, erm, how can I put it, a bit bleak? Although if the weather is in your favour, that might make all the difference.

Manchester is always worth a visit. It's not all shopping and offices and I've killed many an hour there over the years. Always plenty going on and even a bit of culture if you like that kind of thing!

How about Torque RVT in Middlewich Cheshire, wouldn't trust anyone else with my T350, just be patient with Ian. I have tested him many times and despite slight turnaround issues some years ago, has never let me or the car down

I ended up staying in Clitheroe at a really really nice hotel hotel called Mitton Hall that I got for a bargain £60. Typing this whilst lounging in front of a log fire smile
Met the chaps at TrackVRoad and they are really really nice too. Look forward to picking up the car tomorrow and more car chat.
Brought my ps4 with me which solved the boredom problem biggrin
Cheers

Just back from Track V Road. The service I and the car has received has been absolutely fantastic smile They are happy to spend time with you explaining everything in depth, which I really appreciated.
Top notch guys.

As for the car, it had tappets done as they were very tight, and only two advisories for slow window and rear top wishbone bushes ( a tadt item) but my tam'mechanical and chassis condition is in otherwise in exeptional condition for an 04! Really made my month smile

They fixed my speedo, turned out I had left the cover on the tip... paperbag ... and they handed me my pliers which I had left gripping the rear of the sensor getmecoat but had somehow survived about 500 miles without falling off. Rather than make me feel like the idiot that I am they complimented that I must be a smooth driver, must be true smile
