Don't be ridiculous.
The exclusion area, as shown in the C&SC article: http://www.classicandsportscar.com/news/general-cl... covers Marble Arch to Whitechaple, Gray's Inn to the Elephant & Castle. Who in their right mind would visit this Central London area, barely more than the City and the West End, in a car, let alone a classic?

Maybe I'm not in my right mind, but I've done it many times. You can't beat the sound and feeling of an old car, with sidepipes, driving through the deserted city at four in the morning. John

A car (Monaro in my case) is for me the most convenient and most cost effective way to get into central London. =John

If all the restrictions Livingstone initially (and Boris ultimately) encouraged London Boroughs to install - like 24 hour bus lanes (where buses don't operate 24 hours), widening pavements and reducing carriageway widths, Boroughs being able to impose 24 hour 20 mph limits, severe restrictions on parking, the stupid 'blue' cycle lanes that never seem to have cyclists on and just generally making all traffic struggle for the now 'squeezed' road space ------ then traffic would flow quicker, more efficiently and accordingly reduce pollution.
Make no mistake the fact that London is way above EU regulations for pollution is largely down to this policy. Its NOT so much our vehicles as their policies!
So gradually we are being forced off the road - so where will the revenue come from with far fewer vehicles on London roads? - its obvious really - it will come from 'the' mugs who buy-in to the 'plug-in' and battery powered cars of course! - the owners will be cadjoled in to buying the over priced and currently under performing cars with 'incentives' like 'free' rfl and congestion charge exception, free parking, free charge points etc etc - we all know what happens next, don't we? - these vehicles will be blamed for excessive charging loads at peak periods creating pollution from the existing fossil fueled power stations - then the 'rip-off' cycle starts once more!

What is really amusing is that all the anger that was originaly sent to Ken Livingstone (the nation's favourite leftie, now that Bob Crowe and Benn have gone) is now dumped on that darling of the Right, Boris!
