Window Reset - 08 Vantage Roadster

Hi & Help!

A little confused as the FAQ's say to Reset Windows:

Ignition On

Window Down and Hold for 5 Seconds

Window Up and Hold for 5 Seconds

Doors Closed

But...

In the "Owners Guide" it states the same as above but that the Doors should be open!?

Passenger Window drops and closes fine but the drivers side does not, any idea's?

As I need to replace the battery would this be the same as doing a Hard Reset?

Never tried it. Just try both.
If you replace the battery your will have to 're do the Windows anyway.
If you have only one window not working properly, pull it's fuse, wait w0 seconds and put it back in.

Hi Neil,

Tried both a number of times and no joy, so I took the plunge and swapped the battery out, was much simpler that I thought it would be.

Windows now all sorted, in fact it would have been really easy just to remove the battery cable if I did not have a new battery to fit, yes I do have to reset the settings but that won't take long.

The trick for me was to get the floor carpet out of the way and then undo the two nuts from the bolts shown here to remove the trim:



New battery with the 'stings' to release the tonneau cover now taped in place just in-case of future power issues... ;-)

Great news. Loads of issues with old/ low voltage batteries

Now even more baffled. AMV8 Roadster 2007. Passenger door window not dropping. Tried all the suggestions and nothing worked. Also manual says ign 'O' this is off and windows don't work anyway, then ign sw has I,II,III. positions. Any one know the part number for the door module in case I have to replace it? Bazza

When my nearside window stopped dropping, I tried all resets and pulled fuses, nothing. Checked the battery, even though seemed fine it was the original so renewed it, sorted everything. Just a thought.
