I have a whole suit..Ive been waiting for this moment for years...
I was actually thinking.."Wow if it hits earth we might be in trouble"...I saw one around 10 years ago that was awesome..Unfortunately i didn't have a camera..It looked like the size of a football and had a blue fiery glow and a massive vapour trail behind it...It looked like it was only a hundred feet or so up but was in fact in the outer hemisphere..Although it was amazing it was also quite daunting...Ziga
So, to put this in perspective, you're standing in the street, gazing at the sky with a funny stare in your eyes and mumbling to your selve, oblivious to the neighbours......... how 'bout getting that supercharger out and bolting it to Poppie, just to keep/get you sane ? (FFS, you are a fruitcake, mate !)

Yes, definitely a meteor. Where I come from originally (Cyprus) I remember seeing loads of these at night in the summer when I was a kid. Some much smaller than that but quite frequent.

Did not know you were Cypriot.
I'm writing this here in Limassol.
Moving for good around September this year.
Just been told there's a local former TVR factory fella here so hope to meet him soon.

Yea I'd go with a fighter it's way too big for a meteor or anything else burning up.
I'm not so sure about that...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztrU90Ub4Uw

Hi Mate...You could be right as i have looked into it and there was one that was spotted over Switzerland, Belgium, France and Italy...Apparently not that many people saw it so i have submitted the pictures to a meteorological site...
It's unusual to see one that early in the evening too, they are mostly seen late at night / early hours of the morning, but can be seen at any time if it's big/bright enough.
Like this famous one over Canada in 1972...

'Tis a subject I'm very interested in, and seen a great number of meteors over the years, never caught one in a photo like that though, fascinating!
