A classic with grace, space and pace?

I'll be on the lookout for a new second/classic car this summer with a budget of around £10k.

I like luxury saloon cars but wouldn't say no a coupe, though one with good rear legroom would be great.

I like Jags, Bentleys, Rollers, Mercs etc.

What suggestions do my fellow PH's have?

Not sure if it's quite got to classic status but you can't go far wrong with an X350 XJR- 400 bhp (more if you have it fettled), good combination of modern bits- air suspension, CATS, rear multimedia etc with lashings of old school wood leather and chrome. Buy a clean looked after black example with the 19inch 5 spoke wheels, debadge it and upgrade the supercharger pulley and waft around safe in the knowledge you can outgun anything this side of a German super saloon or supercar.

Bentley Turbo R fits the pace and space bit, grace is subjective but I think it has a certain charm.

X350 Daimler Super V8 - pretty rare but I have seen one around the 10k mark on the Jag website in the last few months.
