Hi All,
I am considering one of three V8V's which are Oxyx black, Midnight blue and Meteorite silver. What would be the most desirable colour out of these three and would the blue or silver not show up the dirt as quickly as black does? The black one has 35k miles on the original clutch (2006), presumably the clutch may need changing soon? The other two circa 30-35k miles have already had a replacement clutch.
James.

Desirable to whom?

You?

The dealer who specced the car in the first place?

The person that you will sell it to eventually?

I know which one is most important to me.

Seems a strange question really. Just go for the colour you like the most and don't worry what anyone else thinks. At the end of the day, when you come to sell it, you will get the same money from a dealer whichever of those colours you choose and if not, someone out there will want it.

If there is so little between these cars then go with one that has had the replacement clutch already. Think I would choose the blue one from that but surely there must be better reasons to decide which one is the best buy? None of those colours would put off prospective future owners IMHO

I'm with Molly on that one. I think Blacks do tend to suffer from swirl marks more than the other two colours. What are the interior colours?

my db9 is midnight blue and in most light its almost black (as i guess the name would suggest), so from a dirt perspective etc treat them as the same.

I just happen to like dark blue however which is why i went with that (and i dont think there are too many about which is a small bonus)

What about the interior colours for the three? I would guess you want something pretty light?

Colour is personal so no one can really help you on this with respect.

Meteorite grey, same as me, it looks great.

Don't worry about the clutch there are plenty around on over 50k, you only get to hear about the failures. There are great replacement options from Bamford rose and David Appleby as many here will confirm.

The best colour is the one with the new clutch, the full service history and the best specification.

On sheer numerics, the answer is presumably black.

About one third of the Pre-owned list is always black. To me, they look wonderful when clean, but oh my, what a job to always keep clean.

Perhaps dealers keep ordering stock cars in black, because they look so good under the showroom lights.

I agree....... It's by far the cheapest colour in the long run smile
