3000S Prototype Very sad
Discussion
Do you recognise this car

Well if you don't look here
http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C291133
Bernard (Slow M) went to see it today and check it out and said he was happy for me to share the pictures
I spoke with the guy who owned and claimed to have restored it about two years ago when it went on E Bay USA and judging by the photos then she was very nice.
I believe he eventually sold it on to a dealer and I believe it has since been traded on to another dealer but its a bit sketchy however she is now looking rather sad a rats nest in the dash and carpets rotting and paint well the least said the better
Dealer still wants silly money yet is willing to let it sit there and rot great way to loose money
A crying Shame

Not a prototype!! The first few 'production' cars had no opening boot. Its 'just' an early 3000S with the wrong bumpers and un-original colour!!!.
That car also has a later steering column, later door handles (interior), wooden dash, what makes you think that it's really a prototype?

However the purpose of the post was not to debate its Validity Prototype wise as there are lots of cars where myths have surrounded them over the years
But to show how as little as 2 years of Dealer neglect in US climate highs and lows can ruin a car although the pictures don't show it properly the paint is blistered and would already need re painting.
Its still a 3000s and one of the few bootless cars and like all the old cars of the Mark its so sad to see it neglected especially by a Dealer who should know better
