Hi to all here, ive been using my 98 xk8 (140k) well serviced, running perfect had an mot this week , superb emissions, no issues at all. I ran her to my local petrol station and home prob around a 3 mile trip, parked her up. Went to start her that eve around 4 hrs later, she just turned over and over with no hint to fire, ( I did put petrol not diesel) Called out my break down and they did the usual checks has fuel and pulse to injectors but seems like no spark ??? There are no fault codes battery is new no issues tried the following, battery off and re connect, reset car with fob lock unlock, tried to start in p and in n checked fuses, swapped relays around, fuel pump is working, had plugs out dried out shot of oil in ports, tried little easy start, still not a hint, called out my break down,as mentioned . they went thru all above, pulse on the injectors but nothing showing on the ignition coils ? the fuse for ignition is good, 99.99999999% sure it is a spark issue, but where to go next,? Was suggested that the crank shaft sensor could be at fault but as said no codes showing, does this sensor control the spark only or the injection too ? To add the car had stalled a couple of times in the last 7 days for what seemed no reason? re started fine each time. Any direction would be a great help before being towed to my local ( expensive) dealer ship. HELP PLEASE THE SUN IS OUT AND NEED TO USE HER many thanks
