Hoping someone can help me here,been out this morning for a blast to Silverstone for the PH Sunday Service,gets the camera out the boot to take some photos,shut the bootlid and it wont lock.When i press the badge there is a clicking noise but it aint doin nuffin.Checked wires/fuse etc but i confess i am a complete numpty when it comes to electrics.Im supposing its the solonoid or switch but where do i locate them?.....anyone?...irked

Pull carpet back near the badge and you can see the solonoid hiding behind the panel

If it is clicking then both the solenoid and switch are working fine. Most probably the pull-rod that goes between the solenoid and the latch has rusted through and snapped - it is only thin stiff wire.

Thanks for the replies Chaps,the problem was the latch was jammed,freed it off with some WD40,all fine now.
