What's the longest you've waited for your car, bike, etc

I've just ordered a new motorbike today and was told that i should expect delivery anytime from May - September 2015!!!!

What's the longest time you have had to wait for a car or bike to be delivered after purchase/order?

A Volvo C30 ordered in mid April and received in early July, probably nothing drastic but it felt like an age as I was only 20 years old and it was my first new car!

Not exactly the same, but i've been searching for 8 months now for the right spec 3-series to come onto the used market.

I ordered my new bike 18 months ago, should have it Tuesday.

Haha, unfortunately illness stopped me from getting too far, shame really, it was going to be a very nice project.

Maybe i won't try a 250 next time, might try something easier like a Robin Reliant

Just over 6 months for a FN2 Civic Type R back in 2007. 18 months for a bike seems excessive unless it's a hand made job.

It's the new BMW Nine T, and the demand is super high at the moment. I thought i might be lucky enough to stroll into Williams today and just ride out with one, stupid, stupid me.

Unless the manufacturer was going to give me something else to drive / ride around in whilst I was waiting for them to get their finger out and build it ,I think I'd just go and buy something else and let someone else have my hard earned. I'd be bored of waiting after a week .
