Pop up/ redirect to App Store using chrome

Has anyone else had a redirect to the fecking annoying Game of War app from the pistonheads when browsing on their ipad? I'm using chrome. It literally opens up the App Store and demands you install it.
Flat out the most annoying thing EVER.
Happens on some other websites as well but I thought it was just desperate advertising. But on pistonheads?
How do I stop it? It's making me disproportionately mad.
