TO SFO - RE: PRICE ADVICE
Discussion
You asked (by email) for my views.
There are a couple of, 'looking for a roadster' topics at present, but I don't think they are yours (although I am easily confused).
My expertise on this subject is limited to being a very happy owner, of a pre-owned Vantage Coupe. No special knowledge therefore.
I had a look at the advertisement, and could not see anything needing comment. We all have our favourite colours and specifications, so you will know if that aspect meets your criterion. My car has standard seats and normal suspension. As I bump over some of dreadful UK roads, I sometimes wonder what it must be like in a Sportspack car. However, many Aston forum contributors, just love their Sportspacks.
Regarding price. It looks to be in the expected range, but check the AM Pre-owned listing, to see if you can compare with any other cars.
I don't know what you can do about, the possible previous history. Private owners might make one feel a little more reassured (ie clutch wear), but you have probably read on this forum recently, about the car that turned out to have been used by an AML director. All you can probably do is check the condition as carefully as possible, particularly interior scuffs and scratches (including dashboard and radio).
When you know the full reg number, you could search the internet for a few review websites. Hopefully, you won't spot it on the Top Gear page.
Good luck and enjoy.
